Episode 45: The Intersection of Business and Brand with Social and Political Speech (What Should A Tech Smart Boss Do?)

There used to be a saying that you should never mix business with politics. These days, however, that rule seems to have been thrown out of the window. In this episode, I discuss my thoughts on how businesses are getting pulled into more and more social and political issues, the consequences of that, and what I think a Tech Smart Boss should do or at the very least contingency plan for.  Warning up front, we don’t talk a lot about technology in this episode but you’re also not going to hear yet another person tell you what side of the political argument they are on. My focus on this is to get you thinking about how to handle it should your business be pulled into a controversial discussion.
