Automation is a big thing for a Tech Smart Boss. As much as we like APIs and Webhooks, sometimes you have to go old school and trigger an automation via a transactional email. Zapier has a built-in email parser that works pretty well, but it requires a higher paid plan of Zapier. This week’s Cool Tech of the Week is an alternative, Mailparser.
Mailparser makes it easy to send or forward an email and have them pull out all the info that you need. Then they have a few different ways you can capture that info in your other tools such as a Webhook.
They just launched a new feature that I needed a few months ago when I first looked at them, parsing through word documents attached to an email.
They have a generous free plan and affordable paid ones, check them out if you have any emails that you need to factor into your automation plans.
