Check out all the best of the week in Issue 244 of the Tech Smart Boss Newsletter.
As a Tech Smart Boss we’re all about keeping our inbox clean from unwanted email, but that also include unwanted tracking and privacy concerns. This week’s Cool Tech of the Week can help with that, DuckDuckGo Email Protection.
It’s officially in beta right now, but you can sign up for the wait list, and it only took me a week to get access. It’s very simple, sign up for an email alias to the @duck.com domain, install the extension on your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) and then anytime you don’t want to put your real email into a form, auto-create a duck.com privacy email.
DuckDuckGo will auto-forward any mail sent there to the place you want and, per their privacy focus, they strip out all trackers and bad things. When you get the email, it even tells you what trackers were there.
It’s very simple, and it is free, so you get what you pay for. It’s not as robust as Paced.Email that we covered in the past, but Paced doesn’t have the privacy tracking feature.
Check it out, I am sure they will add more to the feature, but even as is, it’s our Cool Tech of the Week.
We send out the Tech Smart Boss newsletter, once a week, at 10am EST on Saturday. Sign up here (and you can unsubscribe in the footer of the email anytime you like).
